This is a very popular trainer bit to get their head down and gain control. The mouthpiece is made out of  twisted flat strap giving it a lot of bite. The gag isn’t set at quite a 50/50 it’s more or a 45/55. This is a little different than some other sinister bits that are on the market.It still has plenty of vertical flexion to drop their head down like the 50/50’s do but, in my opinion, you get a better feel with more directional control because the purchase is a tick shorter than the shank.
