This low port with a roller is a very popular calf roping and break away bit. It does a rally good job of holding your horse square in the box and in their stop. With the low port they don’t get real scared of it, and the roller takes way the tongue relief so it applies more tongue pressure than your average port. All this mean that it helps promote a real correct stop on a calf horse.
